NCAA regulations allow a Rutgers coach or staff member to provide a student-athlete or an entire team with an occasional meal (and transportation to attend the meal) at any location in the locale of campus (e.g., home, campus, restaurant).
A Rutgers booster may also provide a meal on infrequent and special occasions, as long as the meal takes place at the booster's home, on campus or at a facility that is regularly used for home competition. Boosters may provide transportation to the meal only if it takes place at their home.
Rutgers regulations limit occasional meals to an average of 1 meal per month per student-athlete, not to exceed 12 during the academic year.
All occasional meals must be pre-approved by the Office of Athletic Compliance.
