Paul Perrier

Paul Perrier joined the Rutgers Athletics staff as Senior Associate Athletic Director and Chief Compliance Officer in October of 2015. He oversees compliance functions for Rutgers’ 24 varsity sports.
Perrier came to Rutgers after six years in athletic compliance at the University of Southern California. He was most recently the Associate Vice President for Athletic Compliance, where he worked with a top level staff to manage all compliance aspects for 22 sports.
While at USC, he created cutting edge policies to address trending issues in NCAA and Pac-12 membership, advised coaches, administrators, student-athletes, parents and boosters through rules interpretations of NCAA and Pac-12 regulations, and conducted rules education programs for sports, athletic staff and University liaison groups. In addition, he conducted and supervised investigations of potential NCAA and Pac-12 violations and oversaw all NCAA and Pac-12 waiver petitions.
Prior to his time at USC, Perrier spent a year as a postgraduate intern for the NCAA. Perrier is a current member of the NCAA Division I Amateurism Fact-Finding Committee and National Association for Athletics Compliance.
Perrier graduated from Oswego State University, where he was a member of the men’s ice hockey team and a SAAC Co-President. Also, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School.
Perrier currently resides in Scotch Plains, NJ with his wife Lindsey.
