PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 2, 2014) - The Rutgers women's tennis team continued fall competition, hosting ASA College Thursday afternoon.
"Today's match served its purpose perfectly," said head coach Ben Bucca. "Overall, I saw some good tennis, but at times I saw really strong execution from the team. Today was a very good tune up for next weekend when we are competing at a very demanding tournament at Yale."
Although score was not kept in the contest, the Scarlet Knights and the Lady Avengers scrimmaged in various matches of singles and doubles action.
"After a week of practice and casual play with our teammates, I think the scrimmage really helped prepare us mentally for good match play against strong opponents at Yale," said junior Lindsey Kayati (Monroeville, N.J.).
Rutgers travels to New Haven, Conn. for the Yale Invitational from Friday, Oct. 10 to Sunday, Oct. 12.
