PARKING/TAILGATING
PARKING POLICIES
- Day of game parking can be found on the Livingston, College Avenue and Busch (Hoes Lane West) campuses.
- University Parking Decals (faculty/staff and students) provide FREE parking, but are accepted ONLY in Jersey Mike's Arena and College Avenue game day cash parking lots.
- Every space in each lot is filled in order, front to back, on a first-come, first-served basis, no exceptions.
- Parking passes are a revocable license. Management may revoke the license and eject or refuse entry to any lot for any reason.
- Reproduction of parking passes is strictly prohibited. The display of a fraudulent pass is a criminal offense, punishable up to a $1,000 fine.
- Ownership of a parking pass constitutes acknowledgment by holder that he/she agrees to all parking, tailgating and stadium policies.
- All season parking issued by Rutgers Athletics is assigned in priority point order.
- ADA ID, license plate or placard AND your Rutgers Football ADA Season Parking Pass MUST be displayed for ADA parking access for designated spaces in the Scarlet, White and Jersey Mike's Arena Lots for season ticket holders only. Limited single game/ADA spaces are available in the Jersey Mike's Arena Lots.

- Parking for box trucks in Silver or Jersey Mike's Arena Lots only.
- Charter buses: $100 per game. Follow signs to Jersey Mike's Arena or Silver Lot with pass and be directed to the appropriate parking area.
- Parking passes are valid for motor vehicle parking only. One space per vehicle. No trailers.
- Rutgers reserves the right to change/alter individual parking lot locations due to safety/ security/weather circumstances.
- Lock your vehicle. Rutgers University is not responsible for fire, theft, damage and/or loss of the vehicle or any contents.
TAILGATE POLICIES
- Parking lots are open five (5) hours prior to kickoff and close at dusk after day games and two hours after night games.
- Parking spaces are limited and tailgating must be confined to a small area around your vehicle. Traffic aisles and parking spaces can not be blocked at any time.
- Spectators wishing to park together must enter lots at the same time, displaying matching passes.
- All stadium parking lots will be reserved for those attending the game. If you do not attend the game, patrons will be asked to leave the stadium parking lots at kickoff time.
- University regulations and state statutes on drug and alcohol consumption will be strictly enforced.
- Kegs, beer balls, and tents/canopies larger than 10X10 are prohibited. These items are not permitted in the parking lots/adjacent areas at any time.
- For safety purposes, charcoal should be discarded in specially marked yellow barrels located throughout the parking lots.
- Open flames other than approved grills are not permitted. Camp fires/ bonfires are prohibited.
- Please recycle and put all trash in proper receptacles.
- RUPD and Rutgers Athletics remind everyone to please drink responsibly. Don't drink and drive.
- No open flame under solar panels.

Green Lot

Jersey Mike's Arena Lot
- From Rt.18 North: Take the Metlars Ln/Livingston Campus exit. Make a right onto Avenue E. Turn left on Hospital Road. Go past Jersey Mike's Arena and the lot will be on your right.
- From Rt.18 South: Take the Davidson Rd/Livingston Campus exit. Make a left onto Davidson Rd. Turn left on Hospital Road. Go past Jersey Mike's Arena and the lot will be on your right.
- From I-287: Take Exit 8 (Rt.18/Highland Park exit). Turn left on Centennial Ave, turn right onto Rt.18. Take the Davidson Rd/Livingston Campus exit. Make a left onto Davidson Rd. Turn left on Hospital Road. Go past Jersey Mike's Arena and the lot will be on your right.
- Following an extensive review process last year, the traffic patterns, parking and pedestrian flow have been modified for the 2026 season. Fans will see an improved process for ingress and egress at the parking lots and gates at SHI Stadium.
- Fans parking in the Green Lot will be required to exit the parking lot and make a right onto River Road to continue traveling to their destination.
- After pedestrian traffic has eased and when directed by Traffic Supervisors, Police Officers may allow vehicles to exit right out of Blue Lot. At roundabout, take the second exit to continue on Campus Rd and follow signs for Rt.18 or I-287.
RV, OVERSIZED VEHICLE & BUS PARKING
Game day parking for Oversized Vehicles, including Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and buses, is $100 per game. Game day Parking for RVs and Buses is only at Jersey Mike's Arena and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Shuttle bus service to SHI Stadium will be provided free of charge on game day.
GAME DAY POLICIES
ANIMALS
No pets are permitted in athletic facilities (with the exception of service dogs).
CAMERAS
Small, non–professional cameras without an external flash or extendable lens may be brought into the venue on their own or in a clear plastic bag. Please note that for certain events, cameras may not be permitted. Fans may not reproduce any film, digital, video, or audio recording for commercial purpose without the express written consent of Rutgers Athletics.
CASHLESS STADIUM
Rutgers Athletics continues to operate cashless sales for all merchandise and concessions inside SHI Stadium. The move to a cashless environment is part of an effort to streamline transactions and enhance the game day experience. Cash-to-card kiosks, which provide a debit card in exchange for deposited cash, will be available inside SHI Stadium behind sections 104 and 123.
CHILD, INFANT AND TODDLER ADMISSION
Rutgers Athletics requires all patrons, regardless of age to have a ticket for all football games. The Athletic Department will allow one lap child without charge when attending an event with a ticketed adult. To obtain a complimentary lap ticket, a parent or guardian can request the ticket at the stadium's North Gate Ticket Office. Please check the event’s ticket policies at the time of purchase as ticket policies may vary per event
CLEAR BAG POLICY
In conjunction with Homeland Security, Rutgers will strictly enforce its bag policy. Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and approximately 12" x 6" x 12", or one-gallon clear plastic bags or similar, and small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, can be taken into athletic venues. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Sticks of all types, including selfie sticks, are strictly prohibited inside the stadium.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Rutgers Athletics is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all of our fans. Every fan who visits the Rutgers campus deserves the best possible experience. Fans can contribute to a great experience by conducting themselves appropriately at all times and making sure anyone who uses your ticket does the same. For the enjoyment and safety of all, our staff will proactively support an environment free from the following behaviors:
- Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature
- Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
- Foul or abusive language or gestures
- Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or demeaning remarks or gestures
- Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol
- Possession and/or use of illegal drugs or items prohibited from the stadium including weapons.
- Interfering with others enjoyment of the game
Participating in inappropriate behavior could result in ejection from the facility, loss of ticket privileges and/or possible arrest. Whether or not certain types of behavior are inappropriate or offensive to others may depend on one's perspective and values. Rutgers reserves the right to deem an exhibited behavior to be inappropriate and act accordingly.
All spectators are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons using their tickets (in the instance of ticketed events). Rutgers reserves the right to revoke ticket privileges at any time depending on the circumstances. Multiple warnings will automatically result in revocation of ticket privileges.
All fans are encouraged to report issues and concerns to a nearby event staff member.
COUNTERFEIT/DUPLICATE TICKETS
Patrons attempting to enter the stadium or arena with a counterfeit ticket will be refused admission. Rutgers Athletics cannot guarantee the authenticity of a ticket that has not been purchased through the Rutgers Ticket Office. Fans who believe they have a counterfeit ticket should go to the Ticket Office at the North Gates (Gates C & D).
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Due to Homeland Security guidelines, no outside food and beverage will be permitted into the stadium. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the Guest Services gates designated for this purpose.
LOST & FOUND
Lost or found items can be brought to the customer service window at the top of Section 116, located at the North Ticket office.
NO RE-ENTRY POLICY
There is no re-entry into SHI Stadium. No pass outs allowed.
PRIVACY & LACTATION LOCATIONS
Though the Mamava App, guests can utilize the lactation pods at SHI Stadium. There are two pods in the stadium - one behind section 229 (east side) and the other behind section 214 (west side).

Prohibited items include outside food and beverages, bottles, cans, alcoholic beverages, coolers, umbrellas, strollers, noisemaking devices, balloons, laser pointers, pets (with the exception of service dogs), balls, weapons, sticks/poles, containers, fireworks, clothing/costumes deemed inappropriate and any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate from being brought into the facility.
SMOKING POLICY
Per university regulations, smoking is not permitted in the seating area, bathrooms, and lower/upper concourses.
SHI STADIUM POLICIES

To ensure safety and field visibility for all patrons, umbrellas are not permitted in SHI Stadium.
GATE/TICKET INFORMATION

Phone lines will also be open four hours leading into kick off for each football game day. On game day, fans can visit any Ticket Office at SHI Stadium to trouble shoot their ticket related questions or concerns.

To enhance game day security for fans, guests, and staff coming into SHI Stadium, a Weapons Detection System will be installed at all gates this football season. The system is designed to assess metal density for patrons walking through the system. Patrons DO NOT have to empty their pockets prior to walking through the pillars. Further screening will be required if guests walk through the system and the light turns red. Event staff will utilize a hand wand as a part of the additional screening process. Bags are permitted to be checked at all gates.
TICKET INFORMATION

GAME DAY EXPERIENCEs
SCARLET WALK
The Scarlet Walk occurs two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff at the ‘Birthplace of College Football’ Statue outside of the North Gate.
MOBILE LOCKER TRUCK
A mobile locker truck will be located inside Athlete's Glen along The Rutgers Boardwalk, as well as outside of the South Gate. The trucks will be open for business 2-hours before kickoff for fans to store their bags. Fans can purchase a locker for $12 via credit/debit card, Apple Pay/Google Pay – cash transactions will NOT be accepted.
KNIGHT KUSHIONS
Knight Kushions are available on a game-by-game basis and can be rented at the North Concourse behind section 118. Knight Kushions are $10 per game via credit or debit card. Cash will not be accepted.
50/50 RAFFLE
The 50/50 raffle starts 3 hours before kick off and ends after the 3rd quarter. Sellers will be on foot and kiosks, located behind sections 101, 116, 126 and 131. The winning number will be announced during the 4th quarter. The winner does NOT need to be present to win. REVELXP
REVELXP brings its flagship turnkey tailgating services to Scarlet Knight fans this season. The turnkey tailgate packages include a tent, table, and chairs as well as premium add-ons, such as catering, TVs, coolers and more. More information on REVELXP tailgating experiences can be found here.
RUTGERS MERCHANDISE
Official Rutgers merchandise may be purchased at the following locations - Sections 107, 108, 115, 116, 119, 120, 125, 126, 130, 131, 218. Guests can purchase gear via credit/debit card, Apple Pay/Google Pay – cash transactions will NOT be accepted.
FIRST AID
First Aid stations are located on the concourses of sections 115, 203 and 218, as well as beneath the student section of the south end zone.
THE RED ZONE
On football game day, guests can utilize the “Just-Walk-Out” technology to purchase snacks and drinks at the concession’s booth behind section 128 on the east side of SHI Stadium. Guests can enter the store with their credit card or tap to pay. Guests can also sign up at the kiosk located next to the stand and use their palm to enter the store.
SHUTTLE BUS SERVICES/NJ TRANSIT
FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE TO/FROM DOWNTOWN NEW BRUNSWICK
Rutgers provides a complimentary shuttle service from Downtown New Brunswick to SHI Stadium starting three hours prior to kickoff. The pickup location is at the corner of Albany Street and George Street, and the drop-off location is outside the South Entrance of SHI Stadium on River Road in Piscataway. The shuttle runs continuously before the game and operates for 2 ½ hours after its conclusion.
Buses from Downtown New Brunswick: Buses depart regularly beginning three hours prior to kick-off at the New Brunswick Train Station Albany Street Bus Stop (located next to the taxi cab waiting area) and return up to three hours after the game.
Fans traveling by train via NJ Transit: Take the Northeast Corridor train to the New Brunswick Station.
FREE SHUTTLE FROM JERSEY MIKE'S ARENA
Fans parking in the Jersey Mike's Arena lots can take the FREE campus shuttle buses over to SHI Stadium starting three hours prior to kickoff and running up until one hour post-game. From pregame through halftime, the shuttle drops fans off at the top of the Blue Lot; after halftime, the pickup location switches to behind the bubble. For fans traveling from the College Avenue campus, shuttles drop off and pick up at Johnson Park on the south side of SHI Stadium. All shuttle services run continuously throughout the game.

Rutgers Athletics provides a complimentary shuttle for fans parking in outer lots.
WHEN: Service begins three hours prior to kickoff. The shuttle runs continuously before and during the game and operates for one hour after its conclusion.

- Drop-off: Athletes Glen.
ADA INFORMATION
Advanced ADA accommodations can be made available on a season or game by game basis by calling our sales representatives at 866-445-GORU. For parking accommodations please provide a copy of your placard for confirmation. On game days, the Athletic Ticket Office may accommodate ADA seating requests. All ADA seating is subject to availability on game days but tickets are withheld until game day to manage all requests.
ADA Parking

- ADA parking on the Busch Campus is SOLD OUT on a season basis, there is a specific blue ADA lot with a designated ADA shuttle.

Livingston Campus
Our main ADA Shuttle bus operates from Jersey Mike's Arena. The bus is located in front of Jersey Mike's Arena. Please see bus attendants at this stop for exact locations.
Busch Campus
A special shuttle bus operates from Lot 53 (intersection of Allison Road and Frelinghuysen Road) and Lot 53A (Blue Lot) to the stadium and back. Additionally, there is a pickup location at the Silver Lot (corner of Bartholomew Rd. and Loop Rd at the Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering). On game day, any event staff member or uniformed officer will be able to direct you to our designated shuttle pick-up areas.
