2026 Traffic Patterns & Parking

POSTGAME TRAFFIC PATTERN

Traffic patterns, parking and pedestrian flow have been modified for the 2026 season. Fans are expected to see an improved process for ingress and egress at the parking lots and gates at SHI Stadium.

In coordination with WSP and Rutgers University Public Safety, traffic patterns have been adjusted to provide optimal routes for fans traveling away from the stadium.
New NJDOT approved lane mergers and exit points will be utilized to maximize roadway capacity and improve traffic flow.
A dedicated bus lane will allow shuttle buses to operate more efficiently for return trips to Jersey Mike’s Arena postgame.
Two full egress lanes from the Green and Scarlet Lots onto River Road through Hoes Lane will provide increased outbound capacity.
Green Lot: Fans will be required to exit the parking lot and make a right onto River Road to continue traveling to their destination.
Blue Lot: After pedestrian traffic has eased and when directed by Traffic Supervisors, Police Officers may allow vehicles to exit right out of Blue Lot and continue to their destination.
Yellow Lot: Fans will continue to have an option of exiting either through the north or south sides of the parking lot.

Rutgers Athletics provides a complimentary shuttle for fans parking in outer lots.

WHEN: Service begins three hours prior to kickoff. The shuttle runs continuously before and during the game and operates for one hour after its conclusion.

WHERE:

Pickup: Corner of Brett Road and Bartholomew Road (between the Purple and Black Lots).
Drop-off: Athletes Glen.

ADA SHUTTLE: The ADA shuttle service will continue to operate from Jersey Mike's Arena, the Busch Student Center and Lot 53 with drop off at Athletes Glen for those in need of special accommodation.

Scarlet Lot - (VIEW)

Pregame:

From Rt.18: Take River Road/Piscataway exit. Turn right on to Sutphen Road. Scarlet Lot is on the right.
From I-287: Take Exit 9 (River Road/Bound Brook exit). Enter coned left turn lane and turn left on to Sutphen Road. Scarlet Lot is on the right.

Postgame:

To Rt.18: Left out of Scarlet Lot. Get into left lane. Turn left to River Rd and follow signs to Rt. 18.
To I-287: Left out of Scarlet Lot. Get into center lane. Turn right to River Rd and follow signs to I-287.

Green Lot - (VIEW)

Pregame:

From Rt.18: Take River Road/Piscataway exit. Turn right on to Sutphen Road. Green Lot is on the left.
From I-287: Take Exit 9 (River Road/Bound Brook exit). Enter coned left turn lane and turn left on to Sutphen Road. Green Lot is on the left.

Postgame:

White Lot - (VIEW)

From Rt.18: Take Busch Campus (Campus Rd/Rutgers Stadium) exit on Rt.18 to Campus Road. Enter coned left turn lane to turn left on to Sutphen Road. White Lot is on your Left.
From I-287: Take Exit 8 (Rt.18/Highland Park exit). Turn left Centennial Ave, turn right onto Rt 18. Take SHI Stadium/Busch Campus exit on Rt.18 to Campus Road. Enter coned left turn lane to turn left on to Sutphen Road. White Lot is on your Left.

Postgame:

To Rt.18: Turn right out of White Lot, merging with Brown lot traffic. Turn right on Campus Rd and follow signs to Rt.18.
To I-287: Turn right out of White Lot, merging with Brown lot traffic. Turn right on Campus Rd and follow signs to Rt.18 North/I-287.

Yellow Lot - (VIEW)

Pregame:

From Rt.18: Take Busch Campus (Campus Rd/Rutgers Stadium) exit on Rt.18 to Campus Road. Yellow Lot is your second left.
From I-287: Take Exit 9 (River Road/Bound Brook exit). Turn left on to Hoes Lane West. Veer to the Right to Frelinghuysen Road. At the roundabout, take second exit onto Campus Road. Yellow Lot is on your right.

Postgame:

To Rt.18: Exit either the north or south bound sides of the Yellow Lot and follow signs to Rt.18.
To I-287: Exit either the north or south bound sides of the Yellow Lot and follow signs to Rt.18 North/I-287.

Blue Lot - (VIEW)

Pregame:
