The Rutgers University Athletic Bands Program has long been a fixture of the Rutgers community.
For over 100 years, the band program has been a history of innovation, excellence, and, most importantly, unwavering support for our Athletic Teams (Football, Basketball, Volleyball). Starting out as an 11-member band, it has now grown into a mighty force of sound with over 300 people! From playing the school's fight songs, "The Bells Must Ring," and “Colonel Rutgers,” to singing the School's Alma Mater, "On the Banks of the Old Raritan," the Rutgers University Athletic Bands Program provides the University with a tremendous amount of school spirit, full of color, history, and tradition.
