The defensive duo helped lead the No.9-ranked Scarlet Knights (19-4-3) to program records in wins, shutouts (19), goals-against average (0.37) and goals allowed (10). RU's shutout, shutout percentage (0.731), and GAA tallies were the best this season in NCAA Division I Women's Soccer.

Joining Murphy and Skroski with NSCAA postseason honors were senior defender Brianne Reed (Tinton Falls, N.J.) and sophomore forward Colby Ciarrocca (Montgomery, N.J.). Along with Murphy and Skroski, Reed was named First Team All-Great Lakes Region by the NSCAA. Ciarrocca earned NSCAA Second Team All-Great Lakes Region laurels.

Rutgers received two NSCAA All-Americans in the same season for the first time in program history. With four NSCAA All-Region selections, Rutgers had its most players recognized since the 2008 season.
