- First career start (1): WR Hunter Hayek
- Joins WR Bo Melton (two starts) as true freshmen to start a game on offense or defense through four games.
- After making two previous starts at center, OL Jonah Jackson made his first start at right guard.
- Rutgers and Nebraska met in a Big Ten game for the third time in four years. Overall, the Cornhuskers lead the all-time series, 4-0, with two wins at Memorial Stadium.
- Rutgers put together an 11-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a rushing touchdown on its first offensive possession of the game. The team has scored on its opening drive twice this season and scored first in 3-of-4 games overall.

- First pick-six for Rutgers since Damon Hayes (55 yards) at Minnesota in 2016.

- Had a game-high 12 tackles to tie or lead the team for the fifth time in his career.
