Giants Sign Raheem Orr

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Former Rutgers football standout defensive end Raheem Orr was signed by the Giants and assigned to their practice squad Wednesday.

Orr, a first team All-BIG EAST selection as a senior in 2003, was a seventh-round choice of the Houston Texans in the 2004 NFL draft. Orr enjoyed a breakout senior season for the Scarlet Knights, leading all BIG EAST defensive linemen with 82 tackles, and 19.5 tackles for loss. Orr, who played in the Blue-Gray All-Star Classic following the 2003 season, was second in the BIG EAST with 8.5 sacks.
