Women's Golf Finishes 14th at Penn State Open

STATE COLLEGE, PA - The Rutgers women’s golf team finished 14th at the Penn State Nitanny Lion Women’s Invitational this weekend. The Scarlet Knights shot a 1,015 (329-338-348) in the two-day tournament, held at the 6,068-yard, par-72 Penn State University Blue Course.
UC-Irvine won the tournament with an 897 (296-298-303), while UC-Irvine’s Selanee Henderson shot a 220 (75-72-73) to win individual honors.
Sophomore Lauren Braswell (Basking Ridge, NJ) led the Scarlet Knights with a 247 (80-80-87) to tie for 57th overall. Senior Mary Stewart (Scottsdale, AZ) carded a 250 (84-82-84) to tie for 63rd. Sophomore Ashley Fowler (Scottsdale, AZ) fired a 256 (83-87-86) to finish tied for 74th. Noel Picca (Irving, TX) tied for 81st overall with a 262 (82-89-81), while Monica Coe (Mays Landing, NJ) tied for 86th with a 281 (94-90-97).
The Scarlet Knights will take next weekend off before hosting the Rutgers Invitational Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15-16 at the Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, NJ.
