Rutgers Women's Basketball Announces Television, Radio Coverage

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Television and radio broadcast schedules for the 2004-2005 Rutgers women’s basketball season have been announced.
The Scarlet Knights will be featured on television 13 times during the regular season, including two appearances on ESPN2 and three national broadcasts on CSTV. In addition, every game will be carried live on WRSU 88.7 FM, the Rutgers student station. Sixteen of the 28 games will be carried on WCTC 1450 AM and 11 will be heard on WMTR 1250 AM. Streaming audio of every game will be available on the Rutgers Website, www.scarletknights.com. Live statistics for every regular-season home game also will be available via Rutgers’ homepage.
Last season, Rutgers (21-12, 10-6 BIG EAST) advanced to its sixth NCAA Championship in the last seven years and finished as the runner-up at the 2004 BIG EAST Championship. The 2004-2005 Scarlet Knights were recognized at the conclusion of last season as a team to watch nationally, singled out by Sports Illustrated as one of 10 teams to challenge for the 2005 national title. RU has already been ranked among the top 25 in five preseason polls, including a rating of 17th in the WBCA/ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
