Women's Golf Finishes 19th At William & Mary Invite

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The Rutgers women’s golf team carded 677 (331-346) to finish 19th at the William & Mary Invitational on Sunday.
James Madison took the team title with a 618 (310-308) in the two-round, two-day tournament held at the par-72 Ford’s Colony-Marsh Hawk golf course in Williamsburg, VA. Yale’s January Romero captured the individual championship after firing a 145 (76-69) for the event.
Senior Mary Stewart (Scottsdale, AZ) paced Rutgers with a 156 (78-78) to tie for 16th overall. Junior Noel Picca (Irving, TX) carded a 172 (82-90) to tie for 90th. Finishing two strokes back of Picca was freshman Lauren Braswell (Basking Ridge, NJ) with a 174 (88-86) to tie for 98th.
Freshman Ashley Fowler (Scottsdale, AZ) tied for 100th with a 175 (83-92), while senior Amanda Lennox (Narragansett, RI) tied for 116th with a 191 (96-95).
Rutgers returns to competition next Saturday and Sunday, April 3-4, at the Boston College Invitational in Chestnut Hill, VA.
