PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers women’s basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer is one of 30 contributors to a new book, My Hero: Extraordinary People on the Heroes Who Inspire Them, which will hit shelves Tuesday, Oct. 25. Stringer’s piece also was one of three from My Hero that is included in the current issue of O Magazine.
The book, edited by the My Hero Project and published by Free Press, a division of Simon & Schuster, Inc., features personal accounts from such well-known figures as Muhammad Ali, Sen. John McCain and Yogi Berra, detailing those individuals who motivated and inspired them to reach great heights. The proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the non-profit My Hero Project (myhero.com), an educational Website designed to inspire people of all ages while serving as a resource for teachers and parents, promoting literacy and cross-cultural communication.
