Stringer Included on NCAA 25th Anniversary Team Ballot

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers head coach C. Vivian Stringer is one of five coaches to be included on the online ballot for the NCAA Women's Basketball 25th Anniversary Team.
Fans can votes for five players and one coach at http://www.ncaasports.com/basketball/womens/fanpolls. The team is being compiled as a part of the NCAA's festivities surrounding the 25th NCAA Championship, which will culminate with the Final Four April 2-4 in Boston. The members of the 25th Anniversary Team will be announced Dec. 22.
Stringer owns the third-most victories in Division I history (725-246), leading her teams to appearances in 18 of the 24 NCAA Tournaments, including eight trips to the regional final. The first coach, men's or women's, to lead three different schools to the Final Four (Cheyney in 1982, Iowa in 1993 and Rutgers in 2000), she is a three-time national coach of the year and a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. Currently in her 34th season as a head coach, and her 11th campaign at Rutgers, she served as an assistant coach for the gold-medal 2004 Olympic Team.
