Pondexter Named to Third Straight BIG EAST Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, NJ - For the third straight week, Rutgers fifth-year senior Cappie Pondexter (Chicago, IL) has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll, the league office announced Dec. 12.
The 5-9 guard has been named to the Honor Roll each of the three weeks she has been eligible. Pondexter averaged 22.3 points in three RU victories last week, shooting 51.2 (21-41) percent from the floor, 42.9 (6-14) percent from three-point range and 86.3 (19-22) percent from the line.
No. 6/7 Rutgers (8-0) will play its final pre-holiday regular-season game Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Ole Miss (6-1). Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET. The game
