Rutgers Gymnastics Takes Second at Penn State Quad Meet

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – The Rutgers University gymnastics team (16-9, 2-6 EAGL) scored a season-high 193.100 points to finish second at the Penn State quad meet on Saturday, March 19, in University Park, PA. Also competing at the meet was Temple and William and Mary.
Penn State took first with 195.500, followed by Rutgers in second, Temple (190.300) in third and William and Mary in fourth (189.650).
Senior Stephanie Zick (Pittsburgh, PA) placed third on the bars with a score of 9.800, followed by freshman Stephanie Pannick (Archbald, PA) with a 9.775. Zick also tied for fifth place on the floor exercise, posting a 9.700.
Sophomore Beth Fittery (Denver, PA) finished third in the all-around with a combined score of 38.625, while senior Nicci Bradder (Dover, NH) placed fourth with a score of 38.400. Fittery also tied for fourth place on the balance beam with a season-high 9.825.
The Scarlet Knights will travel to Raleigh, NC to compete at the EAGL Championships on Friday, March 25.
