Women's Golf Finishes 11th at Hoya Invitational

RESTON, VA – The Scarlet Knight women’s golf team finished 11th at the third annual Hoya Invitational on Saturday.
The event, hosted by Georgetown University and held at the 5,848-yard, par-72 Raspberry Falls Golf Club in Reston, VA, was shortened to one day as a result of heavy rains that swept through the area for the remainder of the weekend.
Yale won the team title with a 322, while Cindy Shin of Yale took home the individual championship with a four-over-par 76.
Sophomore Ashley Fowler (Scottsdale, AZ) led RU with an 85 to tie for 14th overall. Sophomore Lauren Braswell (Basking Ridge, NJ) carded a 93 to tie for 43rd. Senior Mary Stewart (Scottsdale, AZ) tied for 50th with a 95. Freshman Jen Rudy (Berlin, CT) finished tied for 58th place with a 100, while senior Noel Picca (Irving, TX) rounded out the Scarlet Knight contingent with a 104 to tie for 68th overall.
The women travel to Harrisonburg, VA, Saturday-Sunday, April 9-10, to compete in the James Madison Invitational.
