Bradder, Fittery Leads RU Gymnastics at NCAA Northeast Regionals

DURHAM, NH – Senior Nicci Bradder (Dover, NH) and sophomore Beth Fittery (Denver, PA) posted scores of 9.800 to finish tied for 13th place in the floor exercise and lead the Rutgers University gymnastics team at the 2005 NCAA Northeast Regional, hosted by the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, April 9.
The Scarlet Knights scored 191.350 points to finish sixth, while LSU won the overall regional title with 197.125 points, followed by the University of Oklahoma in second (195.550) and the University of New Hampshire in third (194.700).
Senior Stephanie Zick (Pittsburgh, PA) led Rutgers in the uneven bars, finishing tied for 18th place with a score of 9.675, while junior Gina Roselle (Tinton Falls, NJ) also tied for 18th place on the balance beam with a score of 9.75.
Sophomore Lorena Johnson (Lilburn, GA) and freshman Stephanie Pannick (Archbald, PA) registered a 9.500 to finish tied for 32nd place and lead RU in the vault. Bradder also took 11th place in the all-around with a combined score of 38.375.
The Scarlet Knights will compete next at the USA Collegiate National Championships on Thursday, April 14, on the campus of Cornell University.
