Rutgers Basketball Hosts Fall Hoop Festival

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -The Rutgers women's and men's basketball programs will host the Second Annual Scarlet Knights Fall Hoop Festival for girls and boys in grades second through eighth on Thursday, Nov. 9 and Friday, Nov. 10. The clinic, led by Rutgers head women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer and head men's basketball coach Fred Hill, will run from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on both days.
Also on hand to tutor the youngsters will be members of Scarlet Knights women's and men's basketball programs. In addition, a number of varsity basketball coaches from high schools across the state of New Jersey will be in attendance to provide instruction.
The clinic stresses basketball fundamentals through games, drills and individual instruction, as well as emphasizes the importance of academics and life skills. All participants will receive a T-Shirt, self-improvement workout program, and two tickets to a Rutgers women's and men's basketball game.
The fee for the two-day clinic is $95.00 and the deadline for registration is Friday, Nov. 3.
