Adamcsik Moves Up to No. 16

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers' redshirt senior Steve Adamcsik (Chester, N.J.) moved from No. 19 to No. 16 in the 141-pound weight class in the most recent InterMat/NWCA/NWMA Division I Individual Rankings. The poll, a collaborative effort by InterMat, the National Wrestling Media Association (NWMA) and the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), ranks the top 20 wrestlers in each weight class.
Adamcsik was ranked No. 20 at the beginning of the season, and had been at No. 19 for the past two polls. After redshirting last season, Adamcsik is 13-4 this year with five major decisions.
The Rutgers wrestling team next takes to the mat on Friday, Jan. 4, when they face Wagner and Lock Haven at the College Ave. Gym, starting at 3:00 p.m.
