Rutgers Women Recognized By University Board of Trustees

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's basketball team was honored by the University on Wednesday afternoon, receiving a resolution from the Board of Trustees. Four of the ten players were in attendance at the June 13 meeting, as were assistant coaches Carlene Mitchell, Marianne Stanley and Director of Athletics Robert E. Mulcahy. The team was recognized by the Board of Governors on April 13.
The Scarlet Knights compiled a 27-9 mark this past season, advancing to the NCAA National Championship game versus Tennessee. Rutgers won its first-ever BIG EAST Tournament title in 2007 and was ranked No. 2 in the final USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.
