Senate and General Assembly Recognize Rutgers Women's Basketball

TRENTON, N.J. - The Rutgers Women's Basketball team was honored on Monday afternoon with a joint legislative resolution presented by the Senate and the General Assembly at the State House in Trenton.
The resolution saluted the Scarlet Knights for their outstanding efforts in reaching the 2007 NCAA Women's Basketball National Championship. In addition, it noted the competitive spirit in which
Head coach C. Vivian Stringer, assistant coaches Carlene Mitchell and Marianne Stanley and team members Matee Ajavon, Katie Adams, Rashidat Junaid, Myia McCurdy, Epiphanny Prince, Brittany Ray and Heather Zurich were in attendance. Also attending the event on the floor of the Senate was Director of Athletics Robert E. Mulcahy.
