Rutgers Defeats Hartford in Sunshine State

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - The Rutgers University women's golf team defeated Hartford in a head-to-head match Wednesday at the PGA Village Dye Course. The Scarlet Knights won the event with 41.5 points to the Hawks' 30.5.
The best-ball format consisted of four two-competitor teams for each side competing for a total of 18 points over 18 holes. Teams were awarded one point for winning a hole and a half point for splitting a hole. A total of 72 points were up for grabs.
Rutgers will next compete at the Cincinnati Invitational, held March 27-28 in Crystal River, Fla.
