Rutgers Tied for 13th at UCWSI

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla – The Rutgers women’s golf team is tied for 13th place after the Friday’s first day of competition at the UC Women’s Spring Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati at the Plantation Golf Resort and Spa.
The Scarlet Knights carded 329-322 as a team, good for an overall score of 651 which places them in a tie with UAB. Fellow BIG EAST member and host school Cincinnati leads the tournament with an overall score of 608 (300-308).
Freshman Lizzy Carl (Mendota Heights, Minn.) leads the Knights individually with a 159 (73-86). She is tied for 33rd place individually. Sophomore Jeanne Waters (West Sayville, N.Y.) is right behind, tied for 36th place with a 160 (83-77). Elisa Mateer (Marmora, N.J.) and Daley Owens (Taylorsville, N.J.) each shot 166 are tied for 60th place. Anne McNiel (Jacksonville, Fla.) shot 175 to round out the RU scorecard. She is currently tied for 83rd.
