Rutgers Announces Four-Game Series with Temple

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 9, 2010) - The Rutgers Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday that Rutgers and Temple have agreed to a four-game series beginning in 2015 at Rutgers Stadium. The Scarlet Knights host Temple in 2015 and 2017 while visiting Philadelphia in 2016 and 2018.
Rutgers and Temple have met 34 times on the gridiron in a series that began in 1948, with the Scarlet Knights holding a 18-16 advantage. The teams last met on October 16, 2004 at Rutgers Stadium with RU posting a 16-6 victory.

The Scarlet Knights open the 2010 season Thursday, Sept. 2 vs. Norfolk State. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from Rutgers Stadium with live coverage on ESPN3.com and the Rutgers Radio Network.
