
Rutgers Announces RoctobeR Fest

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 22, 2010) - The Rutgers Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today RoctobeR Fest, a special ticket promotion for the Tulane and Connecticut football games at Rutgers Stadium. Fans can purchase a ticket to both games for $75.
The Scarlet Knights host the Green Wave on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. on Homecoming weekend in New Brunswick and Piscataway. Rutgers opens BIG EAST play vs. UConn on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in a nationally-televised contest on ESPN.

Friday, October 1
4-9 p.m. Homecoming Kickoff Festival and Pep Rally, Buccleuch Park, New Brunswick
7-9 p.m. Young Alumni Unite at Olde Queen's Tavern
8:30 p.m. Free Outdoor Movie Night at Rutgers Stadium
Come out to Rutgers Stadium for a free showing of the movie Toy Story 3, gates and concession stands open at 7:30PM. Bring your friends and family, and sit on the field for the first ever movie night at Rutgers Stadium. Free parking is available in the Scarlet (West) Lot. Please enter the stadium through Gate D. Saturday, October 2
10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Scarlet Square Tailgate Party
12 noon - 1:30 p.m. March Men of Rutgers! The Great American Football Song
Visitor Center, Busch Campus
Join Dean George B. Stauffer of the Mason Gross School of the Arts as he examines Great American Football Songs and analyses the qualities that make them immortal. The Rutgers University Glee Club, led by Professor Patrick Gardner, will be on hand to provide stirring renditions.
Cost: $10 includes a tailgate lunch, program, and a Rutgers souvenir.
2 p.m. Rutgers vs. Tulane
9 p.m. Homecoming Comedy Show

9 a.m. Run for RAH 5K Charity Race
Come out for the second annual Run for RAH starting at Rutgers Stadium. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and all proceeds from this event will help RAH fill food pantries, sponsor programs, and increase hunger awareness.
