
Rutgers Football Announces TV Partnership with The Comcast Network

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 9, 2010) – Rutgers Athletics has announced that The Comcast Network in Philadelphia and South Jersey is the new television home for Rutgers Football in 2010 for viewers in the Philadelphia DMA. The Comcast Network will air “R Football”, the weekly 30-minute television show that covers all aspects of the Rutgers Football program, along with “Rutgers Rush Hour”, a one-hour condensed version of the previous game.
The Comcast Network and Rutgers Athletics will also work together to try and secure clearance rights for The Comcast Network to air any Rutgers Football games that are produced by ESPN Regional for local broadcast on TCN.
“R Football” makes it season debut on The Comcast Network Friday, Sept. 10 at 10 p.m. The show is currently scheduled to air Fridays at 10 p.m. throughout the season. “Rutgers Rush Hour” airs this Sunday at 12 noon on TCN. The next edition of “Rutgers Rush Hour” on TCN is Sunday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m.
