
Rutgers Football Hosts Annual Pro Combine Day

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 10, 2011) -Twenty-seven scouts from 25 NFL teams attended the Rutgers Pro Combine Wednesday at the Hale Center and Indoor Practice Bubble in Piscataway. The scouts watched 13 former Scarlet Knights take part in the combine.
Senior defensive back Joe Lefeged (Germantown, Md,) participated in the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and only took part in a select amount of drills at the Rutgers Pro Day.
The players went through a variety of drills, including the 40-yard dash, 225-pound bench press, broad jump, vertical jump, three-cone drill, flexibility tests and individual position testing.
Several former Scarlet Knights and current NFL players were in attendance showing support for their former teammates. Among the NFL Scarlet Knights at Pro Day included Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, Cincinnati Bengals running back Brian Leonard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Jeremy Zuttah, New York Jets linebacker Jamaal Westerman, Tennessee Titans linebacker Kevin Malast, Tennessee Titans cornerback Jason McCourty, New England Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty and Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Courtney Greene and wide receiver Tiquan Underwood.
