Vallone Named to Rivals.com All-Spring Team

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (May 10, 2011) – Rutgers rising junior defensive tackle Scott Vallone (Central Islip, N.Y.) was named to the Rivals.com All-Spring team for his efforts during spring practice.
Vallone switched to nose tackle this spring for Rutgers and was one of the team’s defensive standouts.
A Freshman All-American in 2009, Vallone has started all 25 games he has played in as a Scarlet Knight. For his career, Vallone has totaled 85 tackles, including 15.5 for loss during his two-year career.
Rutgers opens the 2011 campaign Thursday, September 1 at Rutgers Stadium versus North Carolina Central. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
