Rutgers Football Hosts Annual Kickoff Celebration Tonight

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 7, 2011) - The Rutgers football team will host its annual Kickoff Celebration on Sunday, August 7.
Admission is free to the Kickoff Celebration and starts at 5:30 p.m. Head coach Greg Schiano and members of the Scarlet Knights will be available to meet fans and sign autographs on the concourse level of High Point Solutions Stadium. Posters will be distributed at the gate for fans to get signed.
The event will also feature the Rutgers Kids’ Zone and performances by the RU Cheer/Dance teams and Rutgers Pep Band.
The Kids’ Zone is open from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and is located in Athlete’s Glen. High Point Solutions Stadium will open at 6:45 p.m. as the autograph session begins. Concessions are available, including grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, for purchase at the Pepsi Trailer in Athlete’s Glen.
Fans will also have the opportunity to preview seating options at High Point Solutions Stadium for the 2011 Season and “Select-a-Seat” during the event. Appointments are available between 5:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. and must be made in advance by calling 732-839-4420. Personal ticket consultants will be on hand throughout the autograph session as well. The North ticket office will be open during the event for fans to purchase season, mini plans, and single-game tickets.
The Scarlet Knights open the 2011 season Thursday, Sept. 1 vs. North Carolina Central. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from High Point Solutions Stadium.
