Oliver Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 3, 2012) - Rutgers women's basketball junior forward Monique Oliver (Las Vegas, Nev.) was named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll - her third honor of the season - as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Oliver guided the Scarlet Knights to a 75-54 victory against George Washington to help close out 2011 with an 11-2 record. The junior paced RU, matching her season-high of 23 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the floor. Oliver also pulled down eight rebounds and chipped in one assist, one block and one steal in 24 minutes of action.
The Las Vegas, Nev., native leads the team in rebounds this season, 8.5 per contest, and is third on the squad in scoring, averaging 12.2 points per game.
Oliver and the Scarlet Knights start the New Year off on Tuesday with its conference-opener, a 9 p.m. matchup against Syracuse. Live coverage of the game can be seen on CBS College Sports.
