Heavyweight Smith Ranked No. 20 by AWN

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 16, 2013) - The Rutgers wrestling team had another wrestler receive a preseason ranking, as redshirt sophomore Billy Smith (Wantage, N.J.) was ranked No. 20 by Amateur Wrestling News (AWN), the organization announced Tuesday.
Smith finished 27-11 last season en route to a sixth place finish at the EIWA Tournament, earning a qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Redshirt senior Vinnie Dellefave (Toms River, N.J.) is the other RU wrestler to enter the season ranked, earning a No. 17 ranking at 133 pounds from WIN Magazine on Sept. 30. Dellefave qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season, going 27-10 and finishing third at the EIWA Tournament.
RU's wrestle-offs are scheduled for Oct. 26 at the College Ave. Gym and will begin at 9 a.m.
The Scarlet Knights compete in their first dual on Nov. 3 at Hofstra before returning to "The Barn" on Nov. 17 for their first home match of the season against Boston University. Season tickets for the 2013-14 Rutgers wrestling season are now on sale via the Rutgers Athletics Ticket Office.
