
Eleven Named to Phil Steele Midseason All-AAC Teams

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 18, 2013) - Eleven members of the Rutgers football team earned a spot on the Phil Steele Midseason All-American Athletic Conference Teams, the publication announced. Both the offense and defense had five members, adding in one on special teams.

OFFENSE
First Team
C Betim Bujari (Secaucus, N.J.): Started five games this season at center.
RB Paul James (Glassboro, N.J.): Leads conference with 573 rushing yards, scoring six touchdowns.
OG Kaleb Johnson (Jacksonville, Fla.): Started last 30 games.
Second Team
WR Leonte Carroo (Edison, N.J.): Leads conference with seven receiving touchdowns.
Third Team
QB Gary Nova (Elmwood Park, N.J.): Second in the league with 14 touchdown passes.
DEFENSE
First Team
LB Steve Longa (Saddle Brook, N.J.): Third in the conference with 61 tackles, also adding 3.0 sacks and 6.0 TFLs.
DL Marcus Thompson (Oakland Park, Fla.): Tied for fourth in the league with 3.5 sacks.
Second Team
DL Darius Hamilton (West Paterson, N.J.): Recorded 23 tackles with 4.0 TFLs.
DB Lorenzo Waters (Accokeek, Md.): Totaled 33 tackles, one interception and five pass break-ups.
Third Team
LB Kevin Snyder (Mechanicsburg, Pa.): Tied for 11th in the conference with 42 tackles.
SPECIAL TEAMS
First Team
PR Janarion Grant (Trilby, Fla.): Returned both a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown.
