Betnijah Laney Named to American Athletic Conference Honor Roll

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 11, 2013) - Junior forward Betnijah Laney (Clayton, Del.) was named to the American Athletic Conference's Honor Roll after guiding the Rutgers women's basketball team to a 79-65 season opening victory over Princeton, it was announced Monday afternoon.
Laney collected her second career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. She was one of six Scarlet Knights in double figures.
Her 10 rebounds tied her career mark having also reached that mark against St. John's last season and versus Florida in her freshman campaign. It was also the 11th time Laney has led the Scarlet Knights on the boards in her career.
