
Rutgers Tennis Falls to WVU, 6-1

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 9, 2013) - The Rutgers women's tennis fell to West Virginia, 6-1, in Morgantown, W. Va., at the Ridgeview Racquet Club on Saturday.
The Scarlet Knights moved to 6-3 on the season, snapping a four-game win streak. The Mountaineers improved to 4-7.
After dropping the doubles point, RU lost the first three contests in singles play. In No. 4 singles play, freshman Lindsey Kayati (Monroeville, N.J.) defeated Mountaineer Emily Mathis (6-1, 5-0) to earn the Scarlet Knights' only point of the match.
Kayati's win gave her a 7-1 record in 2013, matching classmate Gina Li (Hillsborough, N.J.) for the most wins on the team.
Rutgers next takes on BIG EAST opponent Pitt tomorrow, March 10, at 10 a.m. in Pittsburgh, Pa.
