
Rutgers Football Opener Slated for ESPNU National Broadcast

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (June 21, 2013) - Rutgers' 2013 season-opener at Fresno State will be televised nationally on ESPNU, the BIG EAST conference office announced Friday. The Scarlet Knights and Bulldogs kickoff the season Thursday, August 29 on ESPNU at 10:30 p.m. ET.
A total of six games are now confirmed for national television coverage in 2013. Other games can be added to the television schedule as part of the conference's television package 12 days prior to kickoff.
CBS Sports Network will carry the Norfolk State game live with kickoff set for noon on Saturday, September 7 at High Point Solutions Stadium.
Rutgers' third game of the year - a September 14 home game against Eastern Michigan - is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff on ESPN3.
The Scarlet Knights host Temple Saturday, November 2 at noon with live television coverage on SNY as part of the conference's TV game of the week package.
