Rutgers Football to Hold 2013 Kickoff Celebration

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 10, 2013) – Rutgers will host its annual Kickoff Celebration Saturday, Aug. 10 at 5:30 p.m. The event will include inflatables and games in Athlete’s Glen near the Scarlet Walk, as the RU band and cheer dance squad are scheduled to perform. Sodexo will sell refreshments.
The night will conclude with team autographs inside High Point Solutions Stadium at 7 p.m. Posters will be distributed at the gate and on the field for fans to get signed. Admission to all events is free.
The Scarlet Knights report for the start of preseason camp Thursday and hit the practice field for the first time Friday. Rutgers opens the 2013 season Thursday, Aug. 29 at Fresno State (10:30 p.m., ESPNU).
