Rutgers and Temple to Renew Football Series

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 23, 2013) – Rutgers Director of Athletics Julie Hermann and Temple interim Director of Athletics Kevin Clark announced Monday that both schools have agreed to a four-game series on the gridiron.
The Scarlet Knights host the Owls September 19, 2020 and September 17, 2022 in Piscataway while Rutgers visits Philadelphia on September 11, 2021 and on a date to be announced in September of 2023.
The two schools have met 35 times as the Scarlet Knights hold a 20-15 series advantage. Last season, Rutgers came away with a 35-10 victory at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Rutgers (3-1) is idle this week before conference play begins Saturday, October 5 at SMU. The Scarlet Knights scored 21 unanswered points and rallied from a 24-7 deficit last Saturday to defeat Arkansas 28-24. It was the first visit by an SEC school to High Point Solutions Stadium.
