Scarlet Knights Sixth at Fighting Camel Classic

Oct. 20, 2014 BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Rutgers women's golf is sixth after the first two rounds of the nine team Fighting Camel Classic, played Monday at the par 72, 6,026-yard Keith Hills Country Club.
The Scarlet Knights bettered their opening-round 324 with a 303 in round two, the biggest scoring improvement any team achieved between rounds, to card a 627. Host Campbell leads the tournament with a 593.
Freshman Tatum Jackson had a hole-in-one during her second round, acing the par-three, 145-yard third hole. Jackson totaled a 163 (82-81) Monday, tying her for 41st going into the final round.
Meanwhile, fellow freshman Emily Mills paced the Scarlet Knights with a 153 (80-73). Mills is tied for 15th. Sophomore Taylor Clark finished close behind, staying even par on par-five holes as she recorded a 157 (81-76) and place herself tied for 24th.
Filling out Rutgers' scorecard were juniors Racquel Zurick and Gabrielle Sacheli. Zurick fired a 159 (81-78), tying her for 29th, and Sacheli shot a 160 (84-76) to tie for 36th.
Junior Christina Paulsen, playing the event as an individual, is tied with Zurick for 29th with a matching 159 (81-78).

High Point sophomore Sarah Bae (70-72=142) compiled nine birdies Monday to lead the 52-golfer field and tied the tournament 36-hole record at two-under-par 142.
