TEAM NOTES
Today's attendance of 52,797 marked the sixth sellout since High Point Solutions Stadium was expanded for the 2009 season and the fifth largest crowd in stadium history. It was the third sellout in as many Big Ten home games and 13th home crowd of more than 50,000 in program history.
Today marked the first meeting between Rutgers and Wisconsin. The Badgers are one of five teams RU is playing for the first time in 2014 (Washington State, Michigan, Ohio State, Indiana).
Rutgers had a blocked punt against for the first time since Oct. 16, 2010 against Army. RU had gone 53 games since having a blocked punt against.
Rutgers was shutout for the first time since Nov. 23, 2002 at Notre Dame. Today snapped a streak of 147 games scoring a point. The Scarlet Knights had not been shutout at home since Oct. 12, 2002 versus West Virginia.
The defense had six tackles-for-loss in the game. The Scarlet Knights have recorded at least five TFLs in seven of the nine games this season.
PLAYER NOTES
WR Leonte Carroo has had at least one reception in each of the last 16 games he has played. His 33 receiving yards bring his season total to 808, 10th-most in a season in RU history.
DB Anthony Cioffi collected his second interception in as many weeks. New England Patriot DB Logan Ryan was the last Rutgers player to do that, recording interceptions in consecutive games versus Arkansas and UConn in 2012.
WR Andre Patton made his first start of the season and had a career-best three receptions. It was his first college game with multiple catches.
RB Robert Martin had a career-best 63 yards on 13 carries in the game. He averaged 4.8 yards per carry.
DL Darius Hamilton had a season-best seven tackles on the day. It was one short of his career-high eight set at UCF last season.
DL Kemoko Turay registered a half sack to bring his season total to a team-leading six.
