Fall Season Concludes With Rutgers Classic

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's rowing team concludes its fall season Saturday "On the Banks" with the Rutgers Classic. The Scarlet Knights will compete against Lehigh on the Raritan River, with race action beginning at noon.
"The varsity squad is looking forward to racing this weekend at home, as the practices have been quite competitive," said head coach Max Borghard. "I am looking forward to seeing them race. Also, this will be the first race for the novice boats and I know they are ready to race hard."
The Scarlet Knights will put four Varsity 4s and two Novice 8 boats on the river to compete against the Mountain Hawks. RU will then continue to train leading up to its first Big Ten event on April 11 against Michigan State and Michigan in Columbus, Ohio.
