
Rowing Competes at Home vs. Michigan State, Boston University

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (March 30, 2014) - The Rutgers rowing team began its season on Friday, March 28 on the Raritan River in New Brunswick, N.J., taking on future Big Ten opponent Michigan State and Boston University. Both of the Scarlet Knights' novice crews and Second Varsity 8 defeated BU on the 2,000 meter course, while the Terriers edged RU by 4.1 seconds in the First Varsity 8 run.
Michigan State's First Varsity 8 and First Novice 8 won their races, while the Spartans' Second and Third Varsity 8 took first and second, respectively, against the RU and BU Second Varsity 8 crews.
The Scarlet Knights are back in action from April 5-6 in Boston, Mass., at the Boston Races.
