Rowing Travels to Philadelphia to Face Navy, St. Joseph's

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 17, 2014) - The Rutgers rowing team continues its 2014 campaign on Saturday, April 19, when the Scarlet Knights compete against Navy and St. Joseph's on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.
Racing will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Varsity 4 B boats and continue with the Third Varsity 8 boats at 9:45 a.m., the Varsity 4 A boats at 10 a.m. and the Second Varsity 8 boats at 10:15 a.m. Competition concludes with the First Varsity 8 race at 10:30 a.m.
RU's Varsity 4 and 8 boats made significant gains against URI, setting new season-best marks on the Raritan River last Saturday, April 12. The Varsity 8 clocked in a time of 6:39.3 (previous best 7:20.9), while the Varsity 4 recorded a run of 7:33.9 (previous best 9:22.4) to top URI.
