PISCATAWAY, N.J. (May 14, 2014) - The Rutgers women's basketball team was recognized by the NCAA on Wednesday for their academic success in the release of the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores.
The Scarlet Knights tabulated a multi-year academic progress rate (APR) score of 984, its highest multi-year APR score since data began being collected in the 2004-05 season. The APR represent a four-year rolling year concluding with the 2012-13 academic year.
The score was the second highest among American Athletic Conference schools.
The Scarlet Knights women's basketball program has boasted a perfect score of 1,000 for both the 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete. The APR includes eligibility, retention, and graduation in the calculation and provides a clear picture of the academic culture in each sport.
