Rutgers Rowing Headed to AAC Championship

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (May 16, 2014) - The Rutgers rowing team will travel to West Windsor, New Jersey, on Sunday, May 18 to compete with UCF, UConn, Louisville, SMU, Temple and Villanova at the 2014 American Athletic Conference Women's Rowing Championship.

The day of competition will begin at 8 a.m. with time trials and conclude with six Grand Finals events, including the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Third Varsity 8, Varsity 4, Second Varsity 4 and Third Varsity 4 events.
Fans will be able to tune into the action live throughout the day online via The American Digital Network, which will also package highlights of various races for fans' viewing pleasure.
The Scarlet Knights placed fourth with 94 points at the 2013 BIG EAST Championship, finishing behind third place Syracuse (128 points), second place Louisville (129 points) and top team Notre Dame (151 points).
Senior Stephanie Ford (Nutley, N.J.) earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team, while sophomore Shannon Haines (Fairfax, Va.) and senior Raelyn Loiselle (Tampa, Fla.) represented Rutgers on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
