Sep 23 | Women's Cross Country
Junior Paige Senatore (Delsea, N.J.) won last year's face, finishing the 5K course in a time of 18:43.85, taking home the top spot with a 21-second margin. Also placing in the top ten were senior Allison Payenski (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) in third with her time of 19:12.00 and sophomore Kaityln Bedard (Ringoes, N.J.) in sixth at 19:35.53.
It has been nearly two weeks since the Rutgers women's cross country team has raced. The Scarlet Knights opened the season back on Sept. 6 at the Fordham Fiasco, winning the title as RU led the eight team field. Senatore placed first overall on the 5000m course, while a total of four RU harriers were among the top ten.
Following Saturday's race, the Rutgers women's cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
