TEAM NOTES
- Rutgers moves to either 4-1 or 5-0 to start the season for the third time in three seasons under head coach Kyle Flood following Saturday's 31-6 victory over Tulane. Flood is now 10-1 in games played in the month of September.
- Rutgers completed its non-conference schedule undefeated for the third time in school history, also achieving that in 2006 and 2009.
- Rutgers has now won 15 of its last 18 non-conference regular season games dating back to 2011, including the last seven. RU has won its last five non-league games at home.
- Rutgers now leads the all-time series over Tulane, 5-2, and is 2-2 at home versus the Green Wave. Today was the first time the Scarlet Knights played a team from the American Athletic Conference in non-league action.
- The defense sent the opposing offense three-and-out on its opening series for the first time this season. Rutgers' offense scored a touchdown on its opening drive for the second time this year, also doing that in the win at Washington State.
- Rutgers has scored at least 21 points in the first half in four of the five games this season.
- Rutgers held an opponent to single-digit points for the first time since beating USF, 31-6, in the 2013 regular season finale. RU has allowed just two touchdowns in the last two home games.
- Rutgers had a drive of 99 yards in the second quarter. That is the longest drive of the season and the longest in school history.
- Rutgers scored a touchdown on its first three drives of the game for the first time since scoring on the first four at Louisville on Nov. 27, 2009.
- Rutgers entered the game third nationally in sacks with 17. The Scarlet Knights now have 21 on the season following today's four-sack performance.
- Rutgers is 21-3 under Kyle Flood when attempting at least 35 rushes in a game.

QB Gary Nova
- Nova threw four touchdown passes in the game to reach 61 for his career. His third passing score (93-yard to Andrew Turzilli) broke the previous school record of 59 set by Mike Teel (2005-08).

- Today was Nova's sixth career game with at least four touchdown passes. He also had four in the win over Howard Sept. 6.
- Nova went a perfect 9-for-9 passing to start the game. He finished the game 14-of-21 passing for 291 yards and four touchdown passes. The 291 yards passing were a season-best for Nova.
- Rutgers is 19-4 in Nova starts when he throws for one or zero interceptions.
WR Leonte Carroo
- Carroo scored three touchdowns in a game for the second time in his career, also doing that at Fresno State Aug. 28, 2013. He now has 14 career receiving touchdowns, ninth-most in school history. He has played in 28 career games.
- Carroo finished with seven receptions for 140 yards and three touchdowns. The 140 receiving yards were the second-best single-game total in Carroo's career.
- Carroo is the first player in Rutgers history with at least three touchdown receptions in two games.
- The three touchdown receptions for Carroo are tied for third in RU single-game history.

WR Andrew Turzilli
- Turzilli caught a 93-yard touchdown in the second quarter. It was tied for the second-longest reception in school history and longest in stadium history. It was his first touchdown at Rutgers and third in his collegiate career.
