Women's Basketball Announces Times & Broadcast Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 29, 2014) - The Rutgers women's basketball team announced Monday that 20 out of its 29 contests during the 2014-15 season will be aired on either BTN, ESPN2 or BTN Plus. All of the Scarlet Knights' inaugural Big Ten Conference matchups will receive airtime, in addition to two nonconference games.
Rutgers makes its television debut on BTN on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m., when North Carolina visits the RAC as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Next up, RU will host Tennessee, matching up the two teams from the 2007 NCAA National Championship Game on Sunday, Dec. 14 in a 3 p.m. matchup on ESPN2.
Moving into conference play, the Scarlet Knights' inaugural Big Ten game at Indiana (Dec. 28, 2 p.m.) can be streamed live on BTN Plus, followed by a New Year's Day trip to Ohio State for a 2 p.m. tip-off also on BTN Plus.
A total of seven contests will be streamed on the BTN Plus platform - versus Michigan (Jan. 7, 7 p.m.), at Wisconsin (Jan. 18, 3 p.m.), at Michigan (Feb. 8, 2 p.m.), versus Illinois (Feb. 17, 7 p.m.) and at Northwestern (Feb. 26, 8 p.m.).
Rutgers Big Ten home opener against Iowa is set for Sunday, Jan. 4 at noon on BTN. The network schedule continues with a trip to Penn State on Saturday, Jan. 10 for a noon tip-off. After RU hosts fellow Big Ten newcomer Maryland on Thursday, Jan 15 at 9 p.m., the squad welcomes Minnesota on Sunday, Jan. 25 for a live showing at 5:15 p.m.
The remaining BTN broadcasts include - at Purdue (Jan. 29, 7 p.m.), versus Penn State (Feb. 1, Noon), versus Nebraska (Feb. 5, 7 p.m.), at Maryland (Jan. 15) and versus Purdue (Feb. 14, Noon).
Rutgers at Michigan State on Sunday, Feb. 22 will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
