Gymnastics Announces 2016 Promotions

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers Athletics has announced a series of different promotions for the four home gymnastics meets scheduled for the 2016 season. Fans will get the chance to go home with great prizes and experiences from each meet. The Scarlet Knights will host two meets at the Rutgers Athletic Center and two at the Livingston Gym.
Season and individual meet tickets for the 2016 campaign are now on sale, with season tickets priced at just $25. Click here for complete ticket information.
Fans will have an opportunity to bid on a Rutgers gymnastics birthday party for the two meets at the RAC. The package includes seating in the loge area, food and beverages. It will be available to bid on via the official Rutgers Athletics auction site.

Saturday, Jan. 16 vs. Illinois (1 p.m., RAC)
• Meet Theme: Superhero Day (Parents and children will receive a ticket discount for two tickets and are encouraged to dress up in their favorite superhero costume)
• Photo Opportunity: Superman and Wonder Woman
• Giveaway Item: Black capes (first 250 children dressed up)
• Giveaway Item: Rutgers gymnastics t-shirt (first 500 fans)
• Giveaway Item: 2016 Rutgers gymnastics poster
• Giveaway Item: Player cards (freshmen)
• Lucky Seats of the Meet (available to bid on via the Rutgers Athletics auction site)
• T-Shirt Toss (beginning of the meet and when a gymnast receives a score of 9.7 or higher)
• Post Meet Autographs
Saturday, Feb. 6 vs. Ohio State and Yale (1 p.m., RAC)
• Alumni Meet
• Girl Scouts and Youth Group Day
• Meet Theme: Blackout - Wear black to the meet
• Giveaway Item: Black headbands (500)
• Giveaway Item: Player cards (sophomores)
• Lucky Seats of the Meet (available to bid on via the Rutgers Athletics auction site)
• T-Shirt Toss (beginning of the meet and when a gymnast receives a score of 9.7 or higher)
• Post Meet Autographs
Saturday, Feb. 20 vs. Temple, Ursinus and Penn (6 p.m., Livingston Gym)
• Meet Theme: Pink Meet - Wear pink to the meet
• Giveaway Item: Pink shakers will be distributed to the first 500 fans
• Giveaway Item: Player cards (juniors)
• Lucky Seats of the Meet (four fans will be randomly selected for an upgrade to premium, comfortable seating located close to the floor)
• T-Shirt Toss (beginning of the meet and when a gymnast receives a score of 9.7 or higher)
Sunday, March 6 vs. Towson, West Chester and Southern Connecticut State (1 p.m., Livingston Gym)
• Senior Meet
• Giveaway Item: Player cards (seniors)
• Lucky Seats of the Meet (four fans will be randomly selected for an upgrade to premium, comfortable seating located close to the floor)
• T-Shirt Toss (beginning of the meet and when a gymnast receives a score of 9.7 or higher)
