Women's Basketball 2015-16 Radio Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers IMG Radio Network has announced its 2015-16 coverage of Rutgers women’s basketball. Nineteen regular season contests are set to air on WCTC 1450 AM, featuring six away games and 13 home contests, beginning on Friday, Nov. 16 with the Scarlet Knights’ trip to Seton Hall.
This year’s broadcasts will feature a new voice on the call, as Ralph Bednarczyk will fill the play-by-play position. Bednarczyk brings a strong resume to the role, having served as the play-by-play voice of St. John’s University since 2006, calling games across ESPN3.com, WFAN and other various platforms. In addition to St. John’s coverage, Bednarczyk has worked with Verizon Fios1 Sports since 2009 serving in a play-by-play capacity for local high school and college games, resulting in a total of 125 broadcasts across various sports last season alone. The Hofstra University alum has also lent his voice to several NCAA Championship events, including the 2011 NCAA DI Women’s Lacrosse Championship on NCAA.com and BigTenNetwork.com.
Bednarczyk will be joined by color analyst Mark Peterson at all home contests at the RAC.
The Rutgers women’s basketball team begins the season on the road at Saint Joseph’s on Friday, Nov. 13. The Scarlet Knights’ home opener is set for Thursday, Nov. 19 against St. John’s at the RAC.
